About The Role

The position is based within the Tamworth Hospital Patient Services Department, a key operational service that provides high-quality administrative and financial support to patients, visitors, and hospital staff. The department plays an integral role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of hospital services.

This role is located in the new ASB Building, a contemporary and well-appointed facility. Staff have access to free on-site parking, offering convenience and ease of access.

You will join a department recognised for its professional, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture. While the position operates largely independently, it is supported by a cohesive team that values accountability, cooperation, and service excellence.

Key responsibilities include cash handling and accurate receipting, coordination of accommodation bookings, processing and issuing staff identification badges, and providing general administrative support to meet departmental requirements.

This position offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are motivated by service delivery and supporting others. It is well suited to applicants seeking a role within a healthcare environment where their contribution directly supports patient care and hospital operations.

The role offers consistent working hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm. You will work independently with direct support from the Patient Services Manager, within a supportive leadership structure that promotes open communication, professional development, and staff wellbeing.

Comprehensive on-the-job training and orientation will be provided to ensure a smooth transition into the role and ongoing success.

Requirements

  • Holds a Medical Terminology qualification or equivalent experience.
